Terms and Conditions 

By making use of The Bakery Site online platforms to enquire and/or order products from The Bakery Site, you agree to the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully.

 

The Bakery Site is a wholly owned subsidiary of Entity Retail Solutions Pty Ltd, a legally registered and trading entity in South Africa (hereinafter referred to as the online shop). These terms and conditions apply to the purchase of products from the online shop.

 

1. Price

 

1.1 The prices of the products are indicated without any charge for VAT.

 

1.2 All prices are in ZAR currency and price escalation applies for variation to standard sizes, quantity and flavour selections (where applicable).

 

1.3 The prices indicated exclude shipping and priority charge for emergency orders.

 

1.4 Our prices are subject to increase and invoices will reflect the prices applicable at time of order confirmation and placement.

 

1.5 The online shop will not be held responsible for maintaining old prices from Price List that may have been downloaded prior to the price increase.

 

2. Placing and order

 

2.1 All items placed in a shopping cart and checked out do not constitute an order placement.

 

2.2 Once an order is checked out an invoice gets automatically generated and a notification sent to the site. Upon production capacity confirmation and payment, the online shop will generate an order confirmation note with reference number to firm up the order and status will change to ordered.

 

2.3 Orders above standard size volumes are to be placed atleast 3 days before the date they are required to allow all logistical processes to align to your delivery date. 

 

3. Paying for an order

 

3.1 The Bakery Site only accepts online payment method for delivery orders, collection orders can be paid for via Electronic Funds Transfer (note that collection orders are allowed only with prior arrangement and agreement at ordering stage)

 

3.2 By providing the payment details acceptable to The Bakery Site payment platform, you represent and warrant that you are authorised to use the payment method.

 

3.3 You also authorise us to charge the payment method for all charges you incur for the purchase of any of The Bakery Site products.

 

3.4 You are responsible for, and agree to pay. all such charges. 

 

4. Delivery 

 

4.1 We offer delivery service through an intergrated partnership with transport partners in our area to deliver to distances up to 50km from Dainfern.

 

4.2 While all care is taken to ensure that the products arrive undamaged, we cannot be held liable for any damages reported more than 30 minutes after the stamped time of delivery.

 

4.3 Our deliveries are scheduled in line with the business operating hours. Once an order is dispatched for packaging, the online shop will issue a delivery notification with estimated time of delivery.

 

4.4 It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivery address supplied is accurate.The Bakery Site sells perishable high quality products, any products returned to the site due to failed delivery will be disposed and additional delivery charged levied to your payment method. Hence the delivery instruction detail has to be complete, including but not limited to gate access code and apartment number where applicable.

 

4.5 All standard size orders will be delivered between 12 - 24 hours while upsized orders may take up to 3 days, subject to production capacity.

 

4.6 If a delivery turn around time is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, we will extend the delivery date and contact you to discuss prior to concluding the delivery plan.

 

5. Inspection, acceptance of and storage of products

 

5.1 It is your responsibility to ensure that the delivered goods are inspected and any concerns or damages noted and captured through photos, sent to The Bakery Site via email to complaints@thebakery.site within 30 minutes of receipt.

 

5.2 The products ordered may contain ingredients which require storage at cool temperatures to maintain freshness, please check your label thoroughly.

 

5.3 All products from the Bakery Site should be kept in cool, dry places, away from sunlight and enjoyed within 3 days.

 

5.3 The Food Safety Guidelines provide guidance on how food should be handled and stored, these should be followed upon receipt and acceptance of delivered products as illness or other health risks may occur if not followed.

 

6. Returns and Refunds

 

6.1 No returns are allowed due to the perishable nature of the products, unless The Bakery Site makes an error in the type of products supplied.

 

6.2 The Bakery Site will only refund orders that are cancelled due to inability to deliver on the required delivery date and in consultation with customer for alternative delivery arrangements.

 

6.3 Refunds will only be processed into the customer bank account within 14 days from date of such refund process being concluded.

 

6.4 Refunds will only be processed to the payment method used at time of ordering and to the original payment account, no substitution of bank details will be entertained.

 

7. Self collection

 

7.1 If you have a prior arrangement with The Bakery Site to collect your order, such collection may take place at the prescibed collection address and where applicable, time.

 

7.2 The self collection is not a standard method and will only be engaged to assist clients to have access to their ordered products outside of normal business delivery hours.

 

7.3 If you fail to honour a self collection arrangement, a waiting time of up to 15 minutes will be applied following which order will be cancelled without a refund.

 

8. Cancellation Policy

 

8.1 If you cancel your order up to 3 days before your delivery or collection day, you will receive a full refund less 10% admin fee. If you cancel less than 2 days, before your delivery or collection day, you will receive a store credit for use within 3 months of date of issue. If you cancel one day before your delivery or collection day, you will not be eligible to a refund or store credit.

 

9. Indemnity

 

9.1 The Bakery Site products may contain allergens (milk, wheat, nuts etc) and we will not be liable for any adverse reactions to the ingredients.

 

10. Disclaimers

 

10.1 The product images on the website, price list and other ordering platforms may differ slightly to the final product delivered.

 

10.2 While The Bakery Site recognises importance of protection of personal information and keeping the said information safe and confidential. We observe the provisions of the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) and we confirm that our processes only collects and makes use of the neccessary customer information to provide you with our best service and will take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from unauthorised access.
